This seminar has two components: 1. Critical Discourse Analysis as an important tool used by critical researchers in order to unveil power relationships. This section, led by Professor Castañeda, intends to offer participants a deeper understanding on discourse and on CDA in order to strengthen their research analytical tools. 2. Historical Discourse Analysis as a tool to give sense to historicity of events to understand to understand discursive formations. This section led by Professor Mendez, intends to offer participants a deeper understanding on history to trace back discursive and non-discursive practices to understand present facts. As a key element to conduct research Dr. Medina will connect time, space, and discourse within decolonial methodologies.
