Supporting undergraduate students to network in teaching and research communities

This paper discusses successful experiences of a licensure in TEFL which helps students to gain an early integration to academic communities. It opens with a description of the university policies that foster academic networking, followed by a discussion of how these policies are implemented in the program. A third section discusses the supp ort the faculty provides. The paper closes with a discussion of the benefits and the impact of the policy. The Appendices bring samples of planning for mobility, testimonies of participants, and links to key organizations and events.
